The ultimate knitting workshop for beginners
Let's be honest, knitting is no longer just your nana's hobby, its hot.
It's meditative and calming (yes please), you can knit while watching Netflix & while you're on the bus. Pretty much any time you would usually reach for your phone to mindlessly scroll social media... that's when you can beat that anxiety-inducing habit, pull out ya needles and get creating something beautiful that you'll actually use.
The workshop low down:
This isn't some boring knitting class, it's happening on the same day as our Wonders of Wool market at the underground. It's every knitter's wonderland, with unique, modern wools and expert knowledge from stallholders selling amazing yarns from all over, which is so cool!
You'll meet Nicki, your teacher. You'll get all the workshop details first & spend the first 20 minutes grabbing a free coffee from Lashings & shopping around all the fantastic wool stalls, learning a bit about different wools & picking out the perfect yarn for you!
Then we'll get stuck into a 2-hour knitting class with the beautiful Nicki, from 'hand knitting like nana used to' where you will learn all the scarf knitting basics, and practice your stitch before starting your new winter scarf!
We'll provide the coffee, as well as the needles & instructions for you to take away. All you need to do is bring your beautiful self & buy your yarn on the day (don't worry, we'll be right there with you for any help)
It's up to you whether you go all out on a luxurious alpaca blend, pick a low cost but beautiful acrylic or something in between.
We will only take 16 in a workshop, so get your tickets early if you're worried about missing out!
