Get To The Point

Get To The Point is a community fair on the main street of Pleasant Point, South Canterbury. There is a huge selection of craft stalls, bespoke handmade goods, garden suppliers, food vendors, and entertainment for the children.

The day hosts Gymkhana Shears, one of the South Island’s largest shearing prize pools, as well as Highland Dancing, classic car display, dog trials, steam train rides from our historic railway station, helicopter rides, live performances, and entertainment shows all day by a magician/animal balloonist/roving entertainer.

Children’s amusement rides and activities run all day - including miniature pony rides, face painting, merry-go-round, lucky dip, bouncy castle, bumper boats, water rollers, soft archery, and on top of this is the long-standing sausage eating competition!

All of the children's activities and entertainment is subsidised or completely free!
