Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland.

This excursion will leave from Selwyn College and the group will travel by bus to the Gibbs Sculpture Farm on the Kaipara Coast, and return to Selwyn College at the end of the tour.

Please meet at the community education office at 8:50am for a 9am departure. The bus returns to Selwyn College approximately 3pm.

Other trips will be scheduled during the year as Gibbs Sculpture Farm announce new open days. Register your interest via our website and we will keep you notified of future excursions.

Join art educator Linda Tyler for a day trip by minibus to the famous Gibbs Farm Sculpture Park on the shores of the Kaipara Harbour. Take this rare opportunity to visit this amazing sculpture park, with works by key artists including Andy Goldsworthy, Chris Booth, Len Lye and Richard Serra.

There are few better opportunities to engage directly with works of this size and calibre in the Southern Hemisphere.

Places on this tour are strictly limited due to bus seats, so please ensure you enrol early. The terrain at the sculpture park includes gravel paths, hillsides and open pasture so a reasonable level of mobility is required.

Participants should wear strong walking shoes or boots and dress for the weather. As there are no refreshment facilities available on site, participants should bring a packed lunch and drink bottle. The tour will proceed in any weather.

Our mission is to provide quality affordable and accessible lifelong learning opportunities for our community.
