Gibbston Valley is one of the founding and finest producers in Central Otago, releasing their first commercial vintage in 1987.
Their original Home Block Vineyard is the oldest in the region, planted by Alan Brady in 1983. Tonight we will be taking a look at this special block, and Gibbston Valley's other single vineyard wine range, many of which have been impossible to find previously outside the cellar door. These wonderful expressions will be presented by their Chief Winemaker Christopher Keys, who has been with them since 2006.
We will be tasting: Gibbston Valley School House Pinot Gris 2017, La Dulcinee Pinot Gris 2017, Red Shed Pinot Blanc 2016, China TErrace Chardonnay 2016, GV Collection Pinot Noir 2016, School House Pinot Noir 2016, China Terrace Pinot Noir 2016, Glenlee Pinot Noir 2016. We will finish up with two of the finest reds in New Zealand, Le Maitre Pinot Noir 2016 and Gibbston Valley Reserve Pinot Noir 2016.
