We are thrilled to present an exclusive appearance by ‘Frida Kahlo’, one of the founding Guerrilla Girls, to mark the closing weeks of our current exhibition, Guerrilla Girls: Reinventing the ‘F’ Word – Feminism! Join us at the Gallery to exclusively hear how Frida Kahlo and her fellow masked-avengers have called out institutional prejudice in posters, billboards, actions and books over the past 35 years.
Featuring music, insider secrets and the Guerrilla Girls’ characteristic satirical humour, the jam-packed solo performance is a once in a lifetime opportunity to “go bananas” with an iconic arts activist. A lively Q&A will follow the performance, allowing you to ask ‘Frida Kahlo’ about her life as a gorilla-masked art avenger.
This is a ticketed event with limited capacity and we recommend booking in advance to avoid missing out!
Tickets include entry to our coinciding late-night event, 'Art After Hours' – a special, one-off evening of food, drinks, art and entertainment inspired by the exhibition, 'Guerrilla Girls: Reinventing the ‘F’ Word – Feminism!' on Tue 1 Oct, 6–10pm.
