The 11th German Film Festival will take place from 30 August until 1 September 2019 in both the Christchurch Art Gallery and the newly opened Lumière Cinemas. Discover and enjoy six new film productions from Austria, Switzerland and Germany.

Festival entry is free and tickets can be picked up on the day for screenings on that day only. First come, first served. Online bookings are available (a non-refundable booking fee of $1.50 per ticket applies, due to the ticketing system the ticket appears with a cost of $1 and a booking fee of $0.50) via the Lumière Cinemas website, but tickets must be picked up at least 30 mins prior to the screening, otherwise tickets will be released again.

Check on the day for tickets even if “sold-out” online! This may refer to only 50% of tickets.
