On this special day, we will receive the profound blessing empowerment of Buddha Green Tara, our Spiritual mother, bestowing upon us loving-kindness and wisdom to help us let go of the past and prepare for our future.
Green Tara is a female Buddha, a manifestation of the ultimate wisdom of all Buddhas. If we rely upon her, she will protect us from all dangers and encourage us in our personal growth and development.
Kelsang Pawo will give advice on how by going for refuge to her we can receive her protection during our busy modern lives. He will also give advice on how to practice her sadhana, “Liberation from Sorrow”, which is a set of prayers we can engage in to receive her swift protection.

- 2-3:15pm - Teaching and Commentary with Kelsang Pawo
- 3:45-4:30pm - Liberation from Sorrow Prayers
About the teacher:
Kelsang Pawo is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Auckland. He is a Kiwi Buddhist monk and sincere disciple of Venerable Geshe-la. Pawo has engaged in many retreats and studied extensively in Buddhist philosophy and training the mind practices. He brings a clear and practical presentation of Buddhist teachings that are both entertaining and inspirational.
