In 2008 Griffin's closed its doors on its Lower Hutt biscuit factory. After 70 years of production, the closure affected generations of local families employed by the factory.

This event is part of the public programmes for the exhibition 'The Future of Work', which looks at the changing nature of our working lives and the impact of ever-increasing automation in a global economy. The exhibition includes archival material about industry in Lower Hutt and features a range of artists whose practices address labour, work and collective action.
