About the Auckland Garden DesignFest Guided Bus Tour with Selwyn Community Education:
Join renowned garden designer Zoe Carafice and be guided through some of Auckland’s private gardens as part of the Auckland Garden Design Festival. She will talk about garden design principles and planting design, with intimate knowledge relating to each of the gardens on the tour.

Selwyn Community Education is based at Selwyn College, Kohimarama, Auckland. This tour will depart from, and return to, Selwyn College on Saturday 16 November, 9 AM - 4:30 PM. Your tour fee includes the DesignFest admission ticket.

About the Auckland Garden DesignFest:
This annual event, now in its fifth year, opens private gardens offering visitors the chance to see these hidden spaces and to talk to their garden designers.

Notes about what to wear/bring:
Wear comfortable footwear and dress for the day (hat, sunblock, rainjacket etc). Bring a water bottle. Bring your lunch or order one from Eat My Lunch. Details about Eat My Lunch are contained within the course instructions (sent upon enrolment).

We regret that we cannot accept alternative travel arrangements for this tour due to logistical reasons. All participants must depart from and return to Selwyn College. If you do not wish to join our bus tour, you may wish to make your own arrangements to visit the gardens via the Auckland Garden DesignFest website included above.

Eat My Lunch:
When you are registered for this tour, you have the option to pre-purchase a lunch from the charity ‘Eat My Lunch’. For each lunch you buy, they will give a lunch to a kiwi kid who would otherwise go without. Alternatively you can bring your own lunch or buy food when offered at gardens.

Our mission is to provide quality affordable and accessible lifelong learning opportunities for our community.
