A truly family fun day, a unique event started in 1985 its right in the heart of New Zealand’s rural country side. Gumboot Day is Taihape show casing what we do well! Throwing the gumboot is only half the excitement all ages are encouraged to enter and this year we are hosting the World Boot Throwing Championships!

Not to be missed... Yes gumboot throwing is a sport!

Held at the historical Memorial Park it pays to be early, entry is by Koha (gold coin).

Come along & enjoy Taihape’s hospitality, take part in the many activities on offer as well as the market, food & craft stalls, live music all day there is something for everybody!
