Hailing from Warwick, New York, Gus Dapperton in a short period of time has gone from bedroom dreamer to headlining artist, and with due cause. Working mostly with analog instruments—and playing, arranging and recording everything himself, Gus broke through with his 2017 single I’m Just Snacking. The song and its viral video made waves, leading to a tour and an invitation to create a song for the acclaimed Netflix series ’13 Reasons Why’. Gus followed on from this with the release of the four-song You Think You’re a Comic EP and then built up to his full-length debut, Where Polly People Go to Read.

He’s been recognized by Vogue, The Fader and pegged among High Snobiety’s 10 Artists to Watch in 2019 which saw him embark on a global tour that is seeing him perform to dedicated fans and sold-out venues. Gus is definitely not an artist you want to miss as he makes his way to New Zealand for his first visit.
