The H Tree Track in Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tāne Conservation Park is an easy loop track through grand podocarp forest. The forest is home to a number of native birds, including kaka.

Come and experience the bush at night and meet some of the night time creatures you may or may not have known were here - 14th Sept, Meeting at the H-Tree track entrance at 5.30pm. Map can be provided. Family friendly activity, bring a drink and snacks, warm clothes and a torch. Limit 10 people, Bookings essential. Will be cancelled if raining. Will take around 2hours.

How to get there: Whirinaki Te Pua-a-Tāne Conservation Park is 90 km south-east of Rotorua. The track is reached via Minginui Road, off te Whaiti Road (old SH 38), then via Old Te Whaiti Road and Old Fort Road to the Old Fort Road car park.
