This Halloween Spook Night Double Feature is an R16 ticketed event with both door sales and online ticketing ($10 for both films). Doors open 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. Guest presenter is popular culture and horror film guru Erin Harrington. Fangs are optional, but there will be a prize for the best-dressed.
Please assist us by not bringing in outside food and drink. These will be available onsite so come early to buy $5 beer, wine & cider, $2 soft drinks and $2 home baking. Please note; I.D. may be required for ticket and alcohol sales.
What are we showing?
- Suspiria (Dario Argento, 1977, 98 minutes, Italy, R16). A Zombie fun in a camp horror classic and takes HP Lovecraft's book and adds twenty-four gallons of fake blood for the perfect mix of humour and horror.
- Re-Animator (Stuart Gordon, 1985, 86 minutes, USA, R16) is a gloriously irrational fever dream: but be warned this is horror in high-contrast technicolor with a score to give you nightmares..
What is the Canterbury Film Society?
We're a not-for-profit group that meets every* Monday night at 7.30pm at the Philip Carter Family Auditorium at the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū.
