This magnificent traditional work 'Messiah' by Handel, features a scriptural text from the King James Bible, the Psalms and the Book of Common Prayer, in all 53 movements in three parts. The Soloists are Shauna Tweed, Soprano, Sarah Court, Mezzo-Soprano, IanTetley, the tenor and James Harrison the Baritone.
The choir of over 70, under the direction of Conductor Joe Christenson, will be accompanied by Anna Hansen on the Harpsichord, and the Cathedral Strings led by Norma Smith. There will also be timpani and a trumpeter.
This promises to be an exciting new fresh performance of a favourite old work. Not to be missed.
