Hawke's Bay Art Review Gala Opening and Floor Talk

Come along to celebrate the Gala Opening of the long anticipated Hawke's Bay Art Review 2019 at Creative Arts Napier. You are also invited to the Selector Bill Milbank's Floor Talk on the following day.

If you love Hawke's Bay Art or you're involved in the Arts Community, come along and enjoy live music, entertaining speeches and light refreshments on Friday 31 May, 5pm-7pm. The Guest Selector for 2019 is Bill Milbank. On Saturday 1 June, come along to the CAN at 10.30am to attend Bill's Selector's Floor Talk, entry by donation.

Bill is the former long-term director of Whanganui’s Sarjeant Gallery, Art dealer at Milbank Gallery & exhibition curator , and has previously judged the 2012 ‘East’ exhibition at Hastings City Art Gallery.

Bill will also select the winning art work with an award of $1000, to be announced at the Gala Opening on Friday 31 May 2019.

The biennial Hawke's Bay Art Review is a selected exhibition showcasing art excellence in Hawke’s Bay. Submissions were invited from local emerging and established artists in printmaking, painting and drawing, sculpture and ceramics from artists throughout New Zealand, who have close connections to Hawke’s Bay.
