Healthvision Festival of Disability Sport 2019

The Festival of Disability Sport is owned and organised by Parafed Bay of Plenty.

Parafed Bay of Plenty is a not-for-profit organisation that helps develop sporting opportunities for people with physical disabilities.

The Festival of Disability Sport, aims to bring people together to celebrate and showcase the different sporting codes, while building a national sporting community for physically disabled youth and adults.

The Festival of Disability Sport’s inaugural event was in March 2018 which was held alongside the ACC and Paralympic Open Days. There were 100+ athletes across four sporting codes being played over two days at one venue.

Our 2019 event has 5 sports, over two days across three venues, we have also added a ‘have a go’ youth programme to the weekend.

The event is open to anyone that wants to come down and check out the sports and support the athletes.
