A unique production of the culminating masterpiece of one of the greatest European playwrights, Henrik Ibsen.
After an artistic lifetime devoted to portraying virtually every dramatic aspect of the human condition, in plays dealing with feminism, fantasy, politics, illness, corruption, government, history, truth-telling and psychology, Ibsen composed his shortest theatrical work.
In When We Dead Awaken the Norwegian playwright addresses the most profound and compelling aspects of human intimacy and artistic collaboration.
This is the third full-length Midsummer Night Players production in Wellington, the most recent having been Shakespeare's Macbeth in May of 2018, which played to sell-out houses.
Starring Julia Maria Seemann as Irene, Colton Stuart as Arnold Rubek, Lana Percival as Maia, Patrick McTague as Ulfheim, Michaeljohn Butcher as The Inspector and Hayley Morris as a Sister of Mercy.
Directed by Emanuel E. Garcia
