The Three Peaks Ride New Zealand's Cycling Festival is a world-class, week-long festival, celebrating cycling across all ages and abilities and is being held from the 23 - 27 January 2019.
The Festival will run alongside Oceania’s only international UCI 2.2 race, the New Zealand Cycle Classic, which will see both international and New Zealand cycling teams racing for 5 days on the famous Waipa 'Home of Champions' roads.
On Saturday 26th January, The Hobbiton Movie Set Gran Fondo marks the return of an iconic mass participation cycling event in the Waipa region, come and experience what the UCI 2.2 riders will be facing during the Queen Stage of the Tour.
With three distance options to select from, the Hobbiton Movie Set Gran Fondo has something to suit all abilities, ages and levels of riders. You can race/ride with family or friends or just set out to achieve your own personal best, no matter what your reason for joining us we look forward to celebrating your success at the finish line.
Make a day of it, enjoy your RIDE in the morning and then spend the afternoon on the Maungakawa hillside, at the Good George Maunga Madness Party. Cheer on the teams in the UCI 2.2 New Zealand Cycle Classic as they tackle this epic climb in the final kms of the Queen Stage of the Tour.
