Welcome to the first Hot Steppers Session, and what a way to start off with a bang!

HSS will be hosting Siroon Bekkering and Thom de Graaf, two great collegiate shag dancers and teachers from the Netherlands (via Melbourne!) for a 2 x 1 hour workshop during their whirlwind trip through Auckland.

If that wasn't awesome enough we're adding a dj'd social following the workshops featuring some med-quick tempo tunes to practise your new moves!

Collegiate Shag is a fun, joyful partner dance that originated as a swing dance in Harlem in the 1930s, why not enter the 2020's with the same jazz energy!

All this fun will be happening at Victory Performance centre, above McDonalds on Queen St, in Studio 1.

10:30am - 11:30am - Class 1 - Beginners plus - If you're new to collegiate shag, swing dancing or partner dancing, or you love working on fundamentals, this class is for you!

11:45am - 12:45am - Class 2 - Intermediate plus - If you've danced shag before, or you've attended the first class, this class will build on that same content for a little bit more of a challenge!

1:00pm - 2:45pm - Social Dance - A dj'd session with tunes perfect for practising you new moves, and socialise with new friends!
