All the way from Hungary – the winners of the popular and prestigious Hungarian folk music and dance talent contest, Felszallott a Pava. Here, in Christchurch for one night only.
There will be three professional folk dancers (Istvan Berecz, Matyas Fodor and Kristof Fundak) and two musicians (Zsombor Balint and Adam Kiss-Balbinat) coming to NZ from Hungary to take part in the series of remembrance and festivities organised by the Hungarian communities to commemorate the October 1956 Hungarian Revolution.
A great chance to see top quality, genuine Hungarian culture. This event is sponsored by the Hungarian Embassy and the Christchurch Hungarian Club. The Hungarian Club are also putting on a pot luck dinner afterwards in the Hungarian Club hall in New Brighton. A chance to meet and talk with the artists.
The show will be at 6-7pm on Saturday, 9th November in the Haeata Community Campus Auditorium (240 Breezes Rd, Aranui, Christchurch).
Music is universal – all welcome.
