Join approx 1600 mountain bikers in this exciting mountain bike relay event that will be celebrating its fourteenth year in 2019. This event is all about racing against the clock to complete as many laps of the approx 11km course as you can in either 10 or 6 hours.
This is mountain biking's big day out of racing, mixing and mingling. Kick back with other mountain bikers in a very social atmosphere – race as hard as you want, be competitive, be relaxed but whatever, just come and enjoy some great mountain bike racing.
You can choose from either the 10 Hour Day / Nighter or the 6 Hour Blast… enter as a Team or for those wanting the ultimate challenge, as a Solo Rider.
The event is suitable for all levels of riders. (Beginners - riders in this event range from new to mountain biking to experienced/advanced riders so for your safety and enjoyment you need to have at the least, basic mountain biking skills/fitness and also be confident racing alongside other riders).
The mountain bike track at McLean’s Forest Park is purpose build and features free flowing single track with bermed corners making for superb smooth riding. The track follows the natural terrain of the area, winding through the forest and up, over and along the stop banks. There are no major hills but plenty of undulating riding. On race day we'll mix up the single track with 4WD track so there will be plenty of places for passing.
The 6 Hour Blast runs from 10 am to 4pm
The 10 Hour Day/Nighter runs from 10 am - 8 pm.
