The Hurricanes will return to where it all began when they host the Brumbies in Palmerston North in their first Investec Super Rugby home match in 2019.
The round three match will be played on Friday, March 1, 23 years to the day the Hurricanes played their first ever Super Rugby match back in 1996.
It promises to be an epic encounter as new Hurricanes head coach John Plumtree sends his side out for the first time in front of the club’s home fans against Australia’s most successful Super Rugby side.
It will also give Manawatu fans the chance to see some of their Turbos in action with the swirl on their chests with the likes of Nehe Milner-Skudder, Ngani Laumape and Fraser Armstrong in the 2019 Hurricanes squad.
Both sides will be out to grab some early season momentum on what should be a balmy night in the heartland of Hurricanes country.
