The International Buddy Programme (IBP) is hosting a Welcome Event on the 10th of July (Wednesday) at The Hunter Lounge (Student Union Building - VUW).

This event will give you the chance to meet your Buddy as well as other domestic and international students that are part of the IBP. The IBP coordinator will also be giving a brief talk about the IBP and will be there the whole time to answer any questions you may have.

- What if I don’t have my Buddy details yet?
Some students may not have received their Buddy's details by the 10th of July but everyone should have their Buddies by the 12th of July. You are still encouraged to come along and get to know other students involved in the Programme!
- What if I can’t attend the Welcome Event?
There will be other events throughout the trimester that you can attend. Ask your Buddy if they are available to meet you in person another time.
- How will I know if my Buddy is there?
You can ask your Buddy if they are going to attend. Everyone who is attending will also need to email the Coordinator at vi-buddy@vuw.ac.nz to confirm they are attending. At the event you will wear a name-tag and we will organise a space for you to meet your Buddy. Remember to tell your Buddy if you will be there.
- What if my Buddy isn’t able to come to the Welcome Event?
You are welcome to come anyway! You will also have the chance to meet other students in the International Buddy Programme.

This event is free but restricted to participants of the IBP.

If you have any questions, please get in touch with the coordinator at vi-buddy@vuw.ac.nz
