In New Zealand we are seeing an increase in mental health issues including anxiety and depression, like we have never seen before. There is lots of talk about why this is happening and there are many facets to the answer. But as parents we want to protect our children from harm and do the best we can. In protecting them – are we doing more harm than good?
In this interactive presentation we will be looking at the changes in society and the impact these have on our children, how screen time has replaced outdoor play and the significance of this change. We will then finish up with some practical ways that as parents you can help to build your children’s resilience while helping them develop into capable, confident children.
