INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MINDFULNESS
ASIA PACIFIC
9–13 February, 2019
The conference will start with a full-day workshop/mini-retreat on Saturday 9 February (at the Grand Millennium Hotel nearby) hosted by Dr. Bruno Cayoun. On Sunday 10 February, delegates are able to choose from a programme of six half-day workshops.
Keynote speakers for the main event (11-13 February) include Associate Professor Craig Hassed (opening keynote with the topic 'Mindfulness: the hype, the hopes and the fears'), Associate Professor Tish Jennings ("Building a peaceful world with mindfulness and compassion in education"), Professor Emeritus Jean Kristeller ("Creating a mindful relationship with our food and our bodies: the principles and practices of MB-EAT"), Venerable Chwasan (Asian Buddhist perspective on mindfulness practice), and Dr Tony Fernando (Mindfulness and compassion).
The conference will thus cover a broad range of mindfulness areas, with the intention to be a forum for researchers, clinicians, practitioners and educationalists to meet.
