Introduction to Buddhism and Discussion Class: CANCELLED

The main emphasis in Buddhism is to transform the mind, and this transformation depends upon meditation. In order to meditate correctly you must have knowledge.

Over the last ten years Christchurch resident teacher and scholar Ven Geshe Nyima Dorjee has tirelessly taught and shared his profound knowledge and experience on Buddha-dharma. He continues to share this knowledge weekly at the Centre on Tuesdays at 7pm and Sundays at 10am.

Now we have an opportunity for some small personalized discussions with senior students of Geshe Nyima Dorjee's to bridge the interest of the curious or those new to Buddhist concepts.

The consecutive week classes will be by a senior student. The introductory classes are an opportunity for curious and interested minds to come together, in an informal setting, to explore Buddhism and answer any questions you may have around it.

Over the weeks a broad overview of Buddhism will be introduced and the opportunity to touch into deeper aspects.

There will also be an opportunity to discuss further the teachings and texts covered by Geshela on the Tuesday and or Sunday classes.
