This workshop is for organisations who engage with children. It covers:
- Creating a safe organisation
- Why we have Child Protection Policies and Procedures
- Keeping children at the centre of good practice
- Safe working practices to keep children and staff/volunteers safe when engaging with children
- Children’s Act 2014
- Responsibilities for organisations
This is an introduction to Child Protection for organisations and it does not replace training.
Leanne is an experienced facilitator in Safeguarding and Child Protection, with knowledge in supporting organisations across NZ. She specialises in sport and recreation and has worked with sports clubs, after school care providers, holiday programmes and regional and national sports organisations. See website for more details.
