Jan Elliott Music

Jan Elliott, a singer songwriter and member of the Christchurch Folk Club for many years, has been a regular performer on many stages such as The Cathedral Square for the Christchurch City Council, at the Christchurch Arts Centre and the Christchurch Folk Club, as well as Whitecliffs Music Festival, Waipara Wine and Food Festival, Waihi Bush Festival of Music other festivals around New Zealand.

She features on the CD called 'Christchurch Folk and Acoustic', produced by Christchurch Folk Club with two songs. Jan’s songs are compelling and quirky with lyrics that will move and touch your heart. There’s a mix of light-hearted covers and her own compositions and songs. Her mellifluous voice conveys emotion and depth through her songs, inspired by her life’s journey. Influences are singers such as Joni Mitchell, and Joan Armatrading as well as contemporary artists, Shawn Colvin and The Indigo Girls. Jan's voice has been described as 'pure', 'beautiful' and 'natural'.

Cadzow Cossar is a versatile, experienced and highly skilled guitarist, session musician and performer who many may know from Moana and the Tribe recordings and performances. Cadzow enhances, deepens and enriches Jan’s delivery as he supports Jan’s songs with his experienced musicianship.
