Enchanting Canadian Chanteuse Returns To Aotearoa

Canada's legendary Jane Siberry is returning to Aotearoa New Zealand and this time, she's making it to the South Island with a mission to check out its beautiful landscape for the first time.

She is touring in January with a series of shows which will see her playing solo in Paekakariki, salons in private houses, and selected special venues across the South Island.

Iconic and enigmatic, Jane Siberry is one of music’s most unique and gifted singer-songwriters with her ethereal blend of art-jazz-folk. Shecites Van Morrison, Miles Davis, and liturgical music as enduring influences.

Blessed with a sincere integrity andemotional depth, she has released fourteen studio albums including her much loved signature song Calling All Angels, a duet with k.d.lang. The song was first released on the soundtrack of Wim Wenders' film Until The End Of The World.

Siberry's songs have been covered by numerous artists including k.d. lang with her stunning renditions of Love is Everything and the 23rd Psalm-inspired The Valley. She has previously collaborated with a wide range of musicians including Brian Eno,The Indigo Girls, Peter Gabriel, and Mary Margaret O'Hara.

She is currently on a world tour until June 2019 in her home country of Canada as well as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and the USA, performing with equal enthusiasm whether at iconic venues or living rooms around the world.

She will be performing favourites such as The Taxi Ride, Calling All Angels, and equally enchanting new songs from her latest album, Angels Bend Closer, which features guest appearances from fellow Canadian luminaries including Mary Margaret O'hara, k.d. Lang and Rebecca Jenkins.

The fiercely independent Siberry’s shows have a reputation for becoming a story on their own. Expect to be stimulated, entertained, temporarily worried, and ultimately glad to be alive.

Shows include:
Jan 13 - St Peter’s Hall, Paekakariki
Jan 16 - The Plant, Blenheim
Jan 19 - Barrytown Hall, Barrytown
Jan 20 - Blue Smoke, Christchurch
Jan 24 - The Grainstore, Oamaru
