Origami is an intricate art form from Japan, involving paper folding. It’s amazing what can be created from one flat piece of paper!
Join visiting Japanese culture advocate Gaku Fujita, who is in New Zealand to practice his English and learn about our culture. He thought sharing his knowledge of Origami would be a good way to form positive relationships and have some fun! He can tell you a lot about the Japanese way of life at the same time.
Suitable for participants of any age, but we recommend children over 7 due to the complicated nature of some of the folding techniques. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Attending this workshop is free, kindly supported by the Hawke’s Bay Japan Society. Numbers are limited, so to register please email Gaku at gakunasa1@gmail.com.
