Don’t miss this stunning concert from Scholars Baroque Aotearoa with Jubilate Ensemble performing Purcell’s ‘Come, ye sons of art’ and Handel’s ‘Te Deum' and 'Jubilate’.
Both of these works were written for celebration: the Purcell for Queen Mary’s birthday and the Handel for the Treaty of Utrecht, marking the end of the War of the Spanish Succession.
This is glorious music, teeming with anticipation, energetic and full of brilliant orchestral colouring.
Scholars Baroque Aotearoa will be performing at St Peters Anglican Church in Mt Maunganui on September 21 from 7.30pm and September 22 from 1.30pm.
