Christmas is coming, and Kaiapoi is getting ready.

Three major events peppered with excitement, fun, and family entertainment, being held on Saturday 7th December 9am to 4.30pm.

KPA Street Market: 9am – 12.30pm
To be held along Williams Street.

The Street Market will be full of local community groups and businesses giving Kaiapoi locals and visitors the opportunity to see what they’re about. They will be showcasing their group information, products, wares, and if we’re lucky, providing some good old- fashioned home baking for sale. Street entertainment will also be in evidence.

We can help these local groups and businesses support us, by supporting them.

Kaiapoi Carnival: 10am to 4.30pm
Located on the East side of Williams Street between Hilton Street and Raven Quay.
The Carnival will be providing entertainment on the Community Stage and fun activities within the Free Family Fun Zone and a place to relax in the Chill Zone.

Added to this is the Toyota Kaiapoi Show and Shine, favourite commercial and local vendors, with buskers thrown in for good measure. Mix all of these exciting ingredients together, and you have a cracker recipe for a highly enjoyable festive carnival.

McDonalds Kaiapoi Santa Parade: Starting at 1.30pm
Route will run from West to East along Raven Quay, South along Williams Street, before turning East, to end on Hilton Street.

As well as the traditional floats, cars and groups, we dipped our toes into the idea of Flolleys and Flooters last year. This year lets go wild! A real opportunity to involve the whole community.
Always fun for all, and of course, who could forget the Big Man himself?? Santa.
