Jamaine Ross and James Roque are two stand-up comedians who are consistently ‘Keeping It Real’. And there’s nothing more real than standing in front of a microphone and telling jokes about being brown dudes living in Aotearoa. (Except for Jackie Chan movies, that’s some real sh*t right there).

So, come see two of New Zealand’s most endearing comics as they bring their top notch comedy styles to the mighty Waikato.

James is the Filipino step-son of New Zealand comedy. A regular on the scene, he has been putting on successful comedy shows since 2012. His New Zealand television credits include being a panelist on Three’s 7 Days, AotearoHA: Driving Stories, AotearoHA: Next Big Things and Jono and Ben.

“James is engaging, and delivers lots of laughs.” – What's Good

Jamaine Ross is a born and bred Christchurchian who is becoming a well-known comedic face on the New Zealand stand-up scene as ‘The Maori guy with the beard and the hat’. He’s also a writer, actor and director whose credits include Maori TV’s Only In Aotearoa and Brown Eye, as well as Three’s Jono and Ben and Funny Girls.

“Jamaine is hilariously funny, and his comedy is very intelligent and accessible.” – The Ruminator

Jamaine and James are also members of critically acclaimed sketch comedy trio ‘Frickin Dangerous Bro’ who were nominated for the prestigious Fred Award in the 2018 New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

*Please note that their are $25 double bill tickets available for this show and comedy show There's Potential Here which will be on at 7.00pm prior to Keeping it Real*
