Kite making is a fun, interactive and uplifting activity for people of all ages and this workshop is for kids and their grownups!
Julie the Kite Lady will supply all the materials to make, decorate and fly one of her “guaranteed to fly” kite kits. This is a structured workshop where participants will work together step by step to make their kites. The workshop will also cover the history of kites and their uses in other cultures, and discuss the principles of making kites that will fly, materials that work well, the best places to fly kites and staying safe while flying your kites.
At the end of the workshop participants will have an understanding of how to make a kite from materials readily available in the home and they will also have made and decorated a kite of their own that flies. Some manual dexterity skills are required, such as winding lines. If you need any assistance with mobility or physical skills, please advise when booking.
Whether you are a grandparent, parent, aunt, uncle or caregiver - connect with this great activity that you can enjoy together. Please note each attendee needs a ticket and minors must be accompanied by an adult, price includes all materials.
