Hi there!!!

We are holding a free kiwi aversion training day (one dog per person, extra dogs a koha) at Ngaherenga Campsite in Pureora.

https://www.doc.govt.nz/parks-and-recreation/places-to-go/waikato/places/pureora-forest-park/things-to-do/ngaherenga-campsite/

Come along and bring your dog, hunting or pet all are welcome, or just for interests sake.
We will be having a sausage sizzle and Rangers in place to answer any questions you have.

Kiwi are an iconic species in New Zealand and the training can mean you are able to apply for a permit and safely take your kuri to Forests where Kiwi are known to be present. Nature needs you! Come along and have a fun few hours in the Forest.

Bring your family, bring your wet/cold weather gear and have a tramp if time allows for it! You will be close by the beautiful Forest Tower and Totara Track.https://www.kiwisforkiwi.org/take-action/pet-owners/dog-owners/

It is 50 years since Conservation Week was started in 1969 by Scouts NZ. We would like to acknowledge this milestone and encourage people to think about the next 50 years.

And if our children say what did you do? Do you want to reply “Well, nothing really, it seemed too much like hard work, and, frankly, really rather boring”. I don’t. (David Attenborough)
