Gina Allison’s practice consists of hand-built ceramics which challenge our perception of everyday objects. When we encounter an object only one viewpoint is present at one time; frequent interaction with familiar objects enables us to build an image-bank informing our relationship with our environment.
In effect, our visual understanding of the world is constructed through a series of fragmented viewpoints. Klei presents works which reveal various hidden angles and viewpoints, through which Allison explores our relationship with the everyday.
