L.$.D.Fundraiser, Whispering City, Void

L.$.D.Fundraiser (Dene Barnes) from Dunedin has been making a big splash down there over the last few years.

His live sound is uneasy, psychedelic and very loud.

Whispering City (Matt Middleton, James Robinson) reforming mid-2017 after a hiatus of 22 years have quickly become know as Christchurch’s premiere industrial jazz band. Featuring Middleton (Crude) on guitar, shawm and vocals - his freeform stylings are grounded by Robinson’s (notv) backing of samples, theremin, electronics and spade-guitar loops.

Whispering city awkwardly straddle the genres of industrial, odd-ball lo-fi rock, kraut-rock, cinematic soundscaping, orientalist ambient and club bangers.

Void (Marcus Melville), the wonderful and disturbing world of an Englishman with too much to say without speaking. Experimenting with a guitar, feedback and occasionally notes.
