The cultural spectacular includes feasting, fun and a feel-good factor, with proceeds being donated to four significant charities.
The fundraising goal for Light for Life is $125,000, which will be distributed to the following four charities.
Totara Hospice – provides free multi-disciplinary, specialist holistic palliative care services to the districts of South and South East Auckland.
Cancer Society – provides support for people and whānau living with cancer and education to reduce the risk of cancer.
Ronald McDonald House – supports families when their child is in a hospital away from home.
Unicorn Foundation – dedicated to revolutionising the way that Neuroendocrine Tumours (NETs) are diagnosed and managed in New Zealand.
The doors at Mahatma Gandhi Centre in Eden Terrace open at 6pm on Saturday July 27.
Guests will be entertained by local cultural groups and treated to a culinary buffet feast.
