Join Vivien Hendy to explore the variety of colours, designs, and textures in Cut! Costume and the Cinema. Experience weaving on a wooden frame loom as we learn about the construction of textiles from setting up a warp to achieving a balanced weave and much more.
Vivien Hendy has worked as a tutor for the Waikato Society of Arts for the past 10 years teaching a course 'Exploring Art Techniques' and design. Vivien's interest in textiles began as a teenager proficient in many forms of needlecraft. For the past 40 years she has been actively involved with spinning, weaving, felting and dyeing and has exhibited her work both in the Waikato and nationally in Woolcraft Festivals.
4-hour workshop. No experience needed.
Includes all materials. Weaving looms and tools provided.
