Celebrate 40 years of Summer City and 150 years of our beautiful Botanic Garden with 3 weeks of memorable music.

Wellington’s iconic concert series returns to fill your summer nights with the sounds of Aotearoa’s best and brightest! Come early to grab a good picnic spot, and as the sun goes down see the gardens transform with a magical light display by MJF Lighting.

Luck Dip act announced!

Opening the night is Myele Manzanza & friends, showcasing a genre bending experience rooted in jazz and African rhythm. Then father, Sam Manzanza & Afro Beat Band take the stage with their powerful, infectious, hot and spicy brand of Afro beat- sure to make audiences feel the magic.

40 years of Summer City and the flagship event Gardens Magic means we’re now seeing multiple generations of Wellingtonians taking part - so Join us 19 Jan to celebrate with a special father/son concert.
