Depressed by the row of empty shops a group of us have started a midweek market. Most goods are grown or produced locally and we are expanding each week - locally grown plants, socks, bags, calendars, Waikanae Beach Blend Honey, Rawleigh's products, upcycled and recycled, cards, childrens books, soy candles, locally produced olive oil, knitted toys and retro tea cosies with more to come.
So come along, grab a coffee from one of our lovely cafes, listen to some great music, browse the stalls and maybe pick up an early Christmas present. Why not make a day of it? If you're south of Waikanae come up by train (no parking issues and if you've got a Gold Card it's free!), then you could catch a movie at our awesome Shoreline Cinema and a bite to eat at Salt and Wood Collective, all within 100m of each other!
