We'd love to invite you to a relaxed, intimate, hands-on workshop introducing you to the taste and joy of kimchi, the fermented vegetable dish at the heart of Korean cuisine. Packed with probiotics, nutrients, fibre, and low in calories, it's a wonderful addition to any meal. Our workshop is vegan-friendly, as we can provide easy alternatives to still achieve that great-tasting, tangy flavour while being 100% plant based. Our mum will be sharing her age-old know-how on making authentic, healthy, great-tasting kimchi.
This workshop includes:
- A hands-on walk through of how to make Mum's classic cabbage kimchi from start to finish.
- A whole cabbage-worth of your own homemade kimchi to take home.
- A demonstration & tasting of two iconic Korean dishes made using kimchi.
- Mum's recipes for kimchi and the two Korean dishes.
- Our best tips on storage and fermentation.
All equipment and ingredients will be provided. All you need to bring is an apron and a big jar/container to take your kimchi home in.
Our mum, Hwa Jin, will be guiding you through the workshop. Hwa Jin has been cooking Korean food for over 30 years. We're probably quite biased, so you'll just have to trust our friends when they say that our mum's Korean cooking is the best! Come along, bring a friend, and share in this beautiful, unique cuisine with us.
