As the stars of Matariki reappear, to welcome Māori New Year we host 6 star Māori Chefs from across the country each presenting one of six courses and your choice of pairing for the meal, wine or beer pairing.
The chefs:
Rex Morgan (Boulcott St Bistro) - Te Arawa/Ngāi Tahu
Hemi Tahu (Speights Ale House Thorndon) - Tūwharetoa/Te Arawa
Jeremy Rameka (Pacifica Napier) - Tūwharetoa/Ngāti Hotu/Ngāpuhi
Nancye Pirini (Novotel Akl Airport) -Te Whānau-ā-Apanui
Damian Peeti (UCOL Whanganui) - Atihaunui-ā-Paparangi/ Nga Rauru
and of course
Grant Kitchen (Brew Union) - Tūwharetoa/Ngāti Hikairo/Kahungunu
The $165 ticket price includes a 6 course degustation dinner and your choice of either wine or beer matches for the meal. This is a not to be missed event and tickets and seating arrangements are limited. Please contact us directly at book@brewunion.co.nz (subject Matariki) if you have booked and have specific seating requirements, or wish to book for more than 8.
Doors open at 6pm, seating by 6:30.
