Canadian maverick and celebrity chef Matty Matheson makes his triumphant return to New Zealand to perform two shows at Wellington’s Meow on June 29 and Auckland’s Tuning Fork on July 1.
Fresh from a sold-out tour in the US this year, Matty will take the stage in New Zealand for a very loud, proud and unedited talk about his life and journey with an audience Q&A. Fans will also get an exclusive look at Matty’s new cooking show, Just a Dash, coming to YouTube this August!
Tickets go on sale at 9am Tuesday, May 21 with all tickets to include a meet-and-greet.

Matty Matheson has transformed from early New Brunswick beginnings to the newly appointed face of the TV chef. His popular TV shows, Dead Set On Life, and It’s Suppertime, screened on Viceland from 2016 to late 2018. Since their debut, Matheson’s skill set and charisma have propelled him to internet superstardom with his videos – including ‘The World’s Best Cheeseburger’ and ‘Guaranteed to Get You Laid’ lasagne - getting more than 100 million views and a dedicated social media following. He has been featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Seth Meyers Show, The New York Times, GQ, Rachel Ray, The Guardian, Forbes & Bon Appetit.
Matty is also a NY-Times best-selling author thanks to his book Matty Matheson: A Cookbook alongside publisher Abrams. The book touches on family recipes, early inspirations and current day favourites all while sharing stories that are equal part heartwarming and inappropriate. Matty’s next book is set to be released in late 2020.
