Did you know that in 2009 Wellington became the First Fair Trade Capital City in the Southern Hemisphere? 2019 marks 10 years of Wellington as a Fair Trade City! We’re celebrating this milestone by offering a range of free public events over the two-week period: 2–15 August 2019.
Join us at Wellington City Council on 12 August to hear from our special international guest: Mitchell Ricky, a Fairtrade coffee farmer from Papua New Guinea. He’ll be talking about himself and how buying Fairtrade coffee impacts him. Mitchell will then open up to the floor to answer your questions. Afterwards, mingle with your neighbour while enjoying some free fair trade coffee and snacks (fair trade bananas kindly provided by All Good Organics, chocolate by Whittaker's, and OfficeMax is helping out with the refreshments!).
Don’t delay – secure your free tickets now! Limited tickets available.
