We’ve all heard the stereotypes about Millennials-those born between 1981 and 1996. We’re told that they’re lazy, entitled, poorly prepared, obsessed with technology and hanging out for constant praise. But we also know many of them are keen to lead, desire flexibility, seek work-life balance, are committed to life-long learning, and are all about working smarter, not harder.

Either way, they’re here and they’re creating waves in the workforce – many of which are positive!

In this lively and interactive panel event, we’ll take a look at all of the above – all without putting this bright, young generation in a box (although we have no doubt they’ll be a few spirited debates!).

Our panel brings expertise alongside intelligent and varied perspectives to help us make sense of our changing world.  Our experienced facilitator - Hannah Ockelford - and this stellar panel, will take a deep dive into how to best harness these generations for commercial, professional and personal success.

More on our panellists:
- Hannah McQueen,  Founder of EnableMe and Chartered Accountant.
Hannah is a financial force of nature. She is a mother, a regular media commentator, has written three personal finance books and is the founder of several companies. She's also a Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the Australasian society, an Authorised Financial Advisor, and has her Masters in Tax.  Hannah was just 27 when she began a financial personal training company, enableMe. Since then she's started PropertyPro and more recently, EquipMe Now.

- Galia Barhava-Monteith - Co-Founder Professionelle
Galia is an agent of change. She is an Israeli-born New Zealander, mother, co-founder of Professionelle, coach, corporate executive, leader, author of an award-winning PhD, and has extensive experience coaching, mentoring and working on large scale projects with millennials. Her varied career has seen her work one-on-one with executives as well as strategic design, implementation, and evaluation of organisational change programmes. Galia also has deep expertise in the fields of organisational values and ethics, culture change, and Diversity & Inclusion.

- Will Lockie, General Manager - Operations at WOOP.
Will is an accomplished business leader, a millennial and a leader of millennials, with a unique perspective into what success and failure look like when it comes to creating an engaging, results-driven team. After studying a commerce degree at the University of Auckland with a triple major in marketing, management, innovation & entrepreneurship Will took his first role at Fonterra. More recently, Will has had an integral role in leading WOOP's growth and is currently Head of Operations.

- Kimberly Sumner, Millennial and Gen Z expert
Kimberly is a mum, and a coach with a focus on millennials and Gen Z, as well as Inclusive Leadership. She has degrees in economics, political science and marketing and with a background in investment analysis and funds management. She has built a career supporting business leaders and organisations to manage their diverse teams and clients and, in particular, helping their millennials to thrive.

Annabel Wood – Strategic Capabilities Manager, Fonterra
Annabel is an example of how millennials and ‘corporate 9-5’s’ don’t need to be mutually exclusive. She’s found a way to meet her needs for constant learning, change, growth and challenge while remaining employed by a single company over
the past 5 years.

- Facilitator: Hannah Ockelford
Hannah transitioned into the corporate world five years ago; her most recent role was Marketing and Communications Manager for a global professional services firm. Prior to that, she spent a decade as a broadcast journalist for Radio New Zealand, TV3, & TVNZ. These days Hannah is busy looking after her two boys, 2 years and 6 months old.

The panel event timing is 5.45pm-7.15pm, with a great opportunity for networking (with drinks and nibbles) for 45 mins pre and post the panel.
