This is Motoko Watanabe’s third solo exhibition in Dunedin. The works are three dimension sculptures mainly made by used fabric. Used fabric is found everywhere. Old shirts, socks, pants, any old garments and sheets and so on.
Those often don’t cost any and have their own history with numerous variations just like us. It is surprising to see what you can create without making special effort to go outside your territory. Treasure is here all around you. You only have to realize it.
