New Zealand has given Susan much inspiration to paint with its vibrant colours, lights and atmosphere, its river, lakes, sea and mountains.
Waipukurau in beautiful Central Hawke's Bay is where Susan lives and has her studio.
Susan mentions that she's always dabbled in creative things but in 1985 she started painting in oils, then in 1992 she tried acrylics and loved the clear bright colours. She still paints in oils as sometimes the subject dictates what she uses.
Susan describes her style of painting as “impression of ideal reality”, with enough detail so that it invites the viewer to look into the paintings...
Photos quite often don’t do justice to the colours in the paintings, so Susan welcomes you to visit during this exhibition and see her pieces in person - between March 4th, and March 16th.
