Join us to celebrate the International Year of Indigenous Languages 2019. We’ve hand-picked a collection of top te reo artists from across the genres to rejoice in our beautiful native language.

Riqi Harawira the Musician is Māori fusion at its best - te reo Māori, English reggae and high-energy rock music - with strong messages about breaking the chains of depression and addiction.

Grove Roots are a collective, a culture, a jam session, a waka for our reo and kaupapa Māori. Their 2018 album Waka included reggae, hip hop, RnB and soul, funk and acoustic beats.

Joined by Sianne Dougherty.

Genre: Rock, Reggae, Roots, Soul, World, Pop.

Accessibility: Very limited event mobility parking, but there is a drop-off point at event entry. Accessible toilets available.

Thanks to our supporting partner MediaWorks New Zealand.
