Want to know what’s hot in contemporary art right now? Join Auckland Art Gallery for a bespoke, curated visit to the Auckland Art Fair on the VIP Preview day. Auckland Art Fair is the biggest contemporary art event in New Zealand, where you can see and buy works from over 150 artists from the Pacific Rim, so this is your opportunity to meet key people in the arts industry while discovering the works of established and upcoming artists and the opportunities an art fair offers to (aspiring) collectors.

After a coffee and welcome by one of the Fair’s directors, enjoy awalk through more than 45 art booths where dealer galleries exhibit a range of contemporary artworks, guided by curator and art writer Francis McWhannell. Francis will also give a talk on his exhibition Projects, which aims to showcase a broad range of art unburdened by a prescriptive theme or curatorial conceit. After the tour and talk you can stay on for the Opening Night event.
